Fiona Apple Arrested for Hash Possession in Texas

USWNN - The American singer, Fiona Apple was arrested last night in the town of Sierra Blanca (Texas) for possession of hashish and marijuana, reported the online edition of People magazine.

According to a statement issued by the local police office of Hudspeth County, the artist of 35 years was arrested in possession of both substances after authorities stopped her tour bus which was traveling.

"Fiona Apple freely admitted that the substances belonged to her and was arrested and detained by border agents," says the notice of the authorities.

The singer paid $ 10,000 bail and was released from prison today Hudspeth.

In recent times other artists such as Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and Armie Hammer were also arrested in the same town for drug possession.

Fiona Apple performed last Tuesday in Mesa (Arizona) and was scheduled to give a concert today in Austin (Texas), but has been postponed.
